ABOUT IJMB
Interim Joint Matriculation Board (IJMB), Is a Proven & Certified Advanced A level programme, approved by the Federal Government of Nigeria and the Nigerian University Commission (NUC). Instituted by The Interim Common Service Agency (ICSA) in 1976 by the old Government of the Northern Region Of Nigeria, to provide Educational and social services to the people. The board is over-headed by the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria and having coordinating body in various tertiary institutions and different study centres nationwide.
The programme is specifically designed to provide an opportunity for candidates who cannot gain admission to regular degree programmes in Nigerian Universities for one reason or the other, as the programme only requires candidates O’level results, Also awaiting result candidate can Enroll, which guarantee admission into 200 Level through Direct Entry in almost 80% of all Nigerian universities, and Universities Abroad on conclusion of the programme, that prepares candidates for an Advanced A Level Examination
DURATION OF IJMB PROGRAMME
The programme runs for a period of one acedemic session, a period of Nine to Ten (9-10) Months which is divided into two semesters. During the period Students are subjected under an intense and advanced Level teaching in the three (3) selected subjects

In the Above grading system A Bonus point is awarded to the point scored by every candidate provided he or she do not score (F) in any of the subject offered during the programme.

Eligibility Of Candidates
- All interested candidates must have gotten through Secondary Education or High Scholl were He or She must have obtained any of these Certificate: West African School Certificate (WASC), West African School Certificate (GCE Nov/Dec), National Examination Council (NECO) or any equivalent Certificate awarded by a recognized body on concussion of high School or Secondary School within and outside the Country
